Jona Block

Job Developer

Jona Block is a Job Developer at NSC, working with clients to secure employment, and to build relationships with employer partners in the Philadelphia area.

Jona holds an M.A in Humanitarian Assistance & Crisis Management from the School for International Training, where his studies focused on refugee resettlement, crisis mitigation, and humanitarian advocacy. He gained field experience studying these issues in Jordan, Turkey, Serbia, and Mexico. He has conducted qualitative research studying migrant labor in Nepal and refugee employment in Serbia.

Prior to NSC, Jona worked with an organization providing aid to asylum-seekers living in refugee settlements along the US/Mexico border. As a Media & Field Team Aid, he provided direct services to displaced populations in crisis and assisted with the organization’s media campaigns.

Jona is honored to be a part of the NSC team and to help foster economic empowerment in his local community.
