Teresa Yao

ERP Program Manager

Teresa comes to NSC with a background in law and social work. Prior to joining NSC, she was a Senior Program Manager at Little Brothers - Friends of the Elderly (LBFE) in Boston, where she created and facilitated computer classes in public and affordable senior housing communities. Teresa has also served as a legal aid attorney at Legal Aid Chicago, where she piloted a Medical-Legal Partnership (MLP) with Rush University Medical Center. There, she advocated for clients in public benefits appeals and hearings, as well as set up referrals for clients' other legal assistance needs. Throughout her past experiences, Teresa's clients have always come from diverse and multilingual backgrounds. She is very excited to join NSC's efforts in seeking employment opportunities for immigrants and refugees. She has her JD and MSW from Washington University in St. Louis.
