While the headlines and the realities are both frightening, we felt it important to share what our incredible team continues to make happen at NSC! In the last six months (October 2024 – March 2025), NSC has proudly served 2,361 clients.

And, our work with them has been powerful:

Even our refugee resettlement team helped 171 people find their footing in America prior to the administration’s decision to end that program in January.

A number of federal programs may have stopped, but NSC hasn’t.

And, frankly, that is because of you – our exceptional community of supporters. About six weeks ago, we announced a $700,000 matching challenge offered by two leadership donors. Thus far, you have raised over $355,000 toward that match - we're more than halfway there! Once we hit our goal, each dollar will be doubled to support those building a new life in our city.

At the same time as we announced the match opportunity, we announced an overall campaign goal of $2.5M. Through your generosity, and some incredible leadership  gifts from individuals and philanthropic leaders, we have raised over $855,000 toward that $2.5M goal. We are thrilled with our progress and amazed by the ways you're showing up for NSC.

Your actions have been awe-inspiring. Long-time supporters are finding new ways to give through retirement savings, musicians are organizing benefit concerts, a restaurant is planning an art auction, and… then there’s Naiim*.  

Last week, we received $30 from Naiim, a boy who raised money selling crafts at his school. The enclosed note, written with help from a teacher, explained that he was grateful to NSC for teaching his mother English.  

If Naiim, just six years old, can raise resources for NSC’s important work, imagine what we could do together!
