Frank Rowe Joins NSC Board of Trustees!
We are thrilled to announce that Frank Rowe has joined NSC’s Board of Trustees. Frank joins the board at NSC after more than three decades of involvement as a volunteer and donor. Over 30 years ago, Frank lived down the street from NSC’s office on Spruce Street and became a volunteer after seeing a sign in the office window.
Frank has served on multiple charitable boards. He is the principal at Cecond Opinion, a Philadelphia-based leadership consulting and executive coaching firm. Frank has also been a competitive rower for over 35 years, dating back to the mid-1980s when he first arrived in Philadelphia after college on the west coast.
Frank teaches graduate courses on strategic planning and leadership at Drexel University and Jefferson University. He hopes to give back to the next generation of entrepreneurs and leaders. “I like to be between the academic side and the application side,” Frank states. Though a teacher, he is also a student, doing research for his classes and clients on new trends in leadership, strategic planning, and team dynamics. Frank brings business challenges from his consulting work to his students, helping his classes move from purely theoretical to engaging students in the application of those theories.
Frank received a bachelor’s degree from UC Santa Barbara with distinction. He went on to receive both an MPH from Temple University and an MBA in finance from Drexel University, where he was the graduation speaker and won the annual university-wide business plan writing competition. Frank lives in Bryn Mawr with his wife Daphne, who founded Pembroke Philanthropy Advisors.
Frank tries to live his life by the MLK Jr. quote, "Life's most persistent and urgent question is, 'What are you doing for others?'." For Frank, this could mean his clients, students, or colleagues. We are pleased to welcome Frank Rowe to NSC’s Board of Trustees, and we look forward to his contributions.
