NSC's Brenda Nogales receives 2019 Governor's Victim Service Pathfinder Award
Congratulations to Brenda Nogales, NSC's Senior Manager of the Immigrant Survivor Services Program, for receiving the 2019 Governor's Victim Service Pathfinder Award. This award is the most prestigious award Pennsylvania gives to a victim service professional who has contributed unique and exceptional efforts to the victim services field that have brought about change for victims and the field. Brenda received the award from the Office of Victims’ Services in the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency on December 3, 2019 at the Office of Victims' Services Pathways Conference in Hershey, PA.
Brenda Nogales was recognized as a pioneer advocate for immigrant victim's rights across Pennsylvania. For the past 14 years, she has been on the front lines of immigrant assistance and advocacy that has helped open pathways for immigrant survivors of crime and their families to gain safety and stability. At Nationalities Service Center, Brenda oversees our Survivor Services program that provides comprehensive services for immigrant survivors of torture, human trafficking, domestic violence, sexual violence and other crimes.
NSC is truly fortunate to have Brenda as part of our team. She is a tireless fighter and advocate for the rights of immigrant victims of crime!
