US Announces the Uniting for Ukraine Program

As the number of Ukrainians fleeing their homes for safety increases by the day, NSC welcomes the announcement of the Uniting for Ukraine program.
However, we remain concerned that Ukrainians who enter under this program will lack access to the services, programs and benefits needed by refugees as they build their new lives.
NSC urges the Biden administration to ensure support and welcome are available to all those who seek safety, including Ukrainians, Ethiopians, Syrians, Uyghurs, Rohingya, and others seeking refuge in the United States, many of whom have been waiting years at the US Southern Border to be processed into the country.
